Boys and girls of all ages love the idea of creating their own one-of-a-kind room from their imaginations.  What could be more fun than learning to draw pool tables, vending machines, half-pipes, fish tanks, sunken pools, fire poles, hammocks, canopy beds, etc. as one learns the principles of perspective drawing?

Do you have large classes of 30 or more?
This Lesson Plan is designed with YOU in mind.  My classes are always 30 or more!  I aim to share my unique systemthat makes teaching one-point perspective drawing to the largest of groups a smooth and painless experience.  My Student Worksheets, when completed by students, give them the confidence to draw independently.  Only on occasion will you have to assist them.  This makes the task of teaching perspective drawing more enjoyable for all.

For what age-level is the product designed?
It is suitable for upper elementary, junior high, or high school students. Or, any adult may use it. The drawings you see on this page were done by my 7th and 8th grade students.

Time to complete:
Make it a 1-week to a 3-week project, you decide!

Create a bulletin board display:
Use my 10 full-screen, high-resolution student drawing samples to create a class bulletin board.  They are sure to generate excitement from both boys and girls!

A bonus for you:
I have provided you with my Color Pencil Technique Worksheet for color shading that will make your students drawings pop!!  The teacher directions and the accompanying color reference sheet are included.

Whereas many art lesson plans leave out important information and practical hints, my Draw Your Fantasy Room lesson plan includes everything I use.  Conquer any fear about the daunting task of teaching perspective drawing with my one-of-a-kind system that I have developed in over 20 years of teaching.

I wish you much success as you use this Lesson Plan.  By publishing it, I have endeavored to make your work a little easier when it comes to teaching the all-important concept of one-point perspective drawing!
